LUX Apartman AS – Montevia
First Impressions
LUX Apartman AS – Montevia sits right in the heart of Zlatibor, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better if you tried. When I first walked up to this four-star property, I was struck by how it manages to feel both modern and completely at home in this mountain setting. The building has this clean, contemporary look that doesn’t try too hard — which I actually appreciated after seeing some of the overly flashy places around town.
The Apartment Experience
Each apartment here is basically like having your own little mountain retreat. The space I stayed in was genuinely spacious — not just “hotel spacious” where you can barely open your suitcase. The kitchen was fully equipped, which meant I could actually cook some of those amazing local ingredients I picked up at the Zlatibor market. You know what really impressed me though? The attention to detail in the furnishing — everything felt thoughtfully chosen rather than just ordered in bulk.
Location & Mountain Access
Being on Miladina Pećinara puts you within walking distance of pretty much everything that matters in Zlatibor. The main promenade is literally a few minutes away, and I mean that — not hotel brochure “few minutes” but actual few minutes. What’s really nice is that you’re close enough to enjoy the evening buzz around the center, but far enough that you’re not dealing with noise when you want to sleep. The cable car to Tornik is also super accessible from here.
Comfort & Amenities
The whole setup feels more like staying at a well-appointed friend’s place than a typical hotel room. There’s proper storage space (thank goodness), reliable WiFi that actually works for video calls, and the heating system keeps everything perfectly comfortable during those chilly mountain evenings. I also noticed they’ve got parking sorted, which honestly can be a real headache in this part of Zlatibor during peak season.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.7 rating isn’t just numbers — it reflects what you actually experience here. The staff genuinely cares about making your stay work, without being overly formal about it. Plus, having that apartment-style setup means you can live a bit more naturally — grab groceries, cook when you feel like it, or just spread out and relax after a day of hiking or exploring the region. It’s the kind of place where you settle in rather than just sleep, which makes all the difference when you’re trying to really experience Zlatibor.
