The weekend market is practically next door, and if you’re into that whole Zlatibor nightlife scene, you won’t need a taxi back to your place. I mean, parking can get tight during peak summer months, but there’s usually something available within a block or two if you’re patient.

The Reality Check

Look, this isn’t going to wow you with designer furniture or a fancy spa — Zlatibor has plenty of higher-end options if that’s what you’re after. But what Aleks Apartman does well is give you a clean, reasonably equipped space at a price that makes sense. The hot water was consistent (always a concern in mountain towns), and the heating worked fine during my October stay when temperatures started dropping at night. The WiFi actually worked too, which isn’t always a given in this part of Serbia.
