A Hoteli – Grand&Sky Hotel Tornik
First Impressions
The moment you pull up to A Hoteli – Grand&Sky Hotel Tornik, you know you’re somewhere special. This five-star property sits right in the heart of Zlatibor‘s mountain landscape, and honestly, the views alone are worth the trip. The building has this modern alpine feel that somehow doesn’t clash with the natural surroundings — it’s actually quite impressive how they’ve managed that balance.
The Room Experience
My room was on the upper floors (definitely request this if you can), and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered panoramic mountain views that change throughout the day. The luxury touches are everywhere — heated bathroom floors, premium linens, and a minibar that’s actually reasonably priced for a resort of this caliber. You know what really got me though? The blackout curtains work perfectly, which is a godsend when you want to sleep in after a day of hiking.
Dining and Amenities
The main restaurant serves both international dishes and Serbian specialties, and I mean this — their lamb is exceptional. The breakfast spread is generous without being overwhelming, with local cheeses and homemade pastries that pair perfectly with strong Serbian coffee. The spa facilities are extensive, featuring both indoor pools and treatment rooms where you can actually hear the mountain breeze through the windows during your massage.
Location and Activities
What sets this place apart is its proximity to Tornik ski slopes — you’re literally steps away from the lifts in winter. During warmer months, the hiking trails start practically from the hotel’s back door. The staff here actually knows the area well and can point you toward the less crowded trails where locals go. There’s also secure parking right on-site, which matters more than you’d think when you’re carrying ski equipment or hiking gear.
Why Guests Love It
This hotel strikes that rare balance between luxury and authenticity that’s hard to find in mountain resorts. The service feels personal rather than rehearsed — staff remember your preferences without being intrusive. With a 9.2 rating, it’s clearly doing something right, and after staying here, I get why people return year after year. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy both the sophistication of a premium hotel and the genuine warmth of Serbian hospitality, all while being surrounded by some of the most beautiful mountain scenery in the Balkans.
